Water-lilies

I saw Monet's water-lilies today. I saw not only the stunning floating flowers he brushed into existence, but also the real water wonders that rest atop the famous pond at Giverny. If you are ever in Paris for more than a few days, take the 45 minute ride on the inter-city train out to Vernon to go to Giverny and glimpse Monet's fairy-tale garden and ivy-covered cottage.

Whisteria droops over the foot bridges, too full of budding violet to lift itself up. Dew collects on the feathered greenry that sits low around the orange flowers that shoot up tall and proud. When you're not too busy nuzzling your nose in a bit of lilac to get a good whiff, the sight is truely breath-taking.
