Getting Around Hakone is Easy with the Bus

In addition to the hospitality and wonderful onsen experience, one attribute that made the Mount View Hakone stand out among our hotel choices was its proximity to the bus station. The bust station is just outside the hotel doors, no more than 20 feet from the entrance, which made traveling around Hakone a breeze.

Hakone is a very quiet town with no subway system. The hotels and attractions are dispersed around the area, with some close to the lake and others closer to "town". Since we wanted to maximize our sightseeing within just one day, the bus was a big help.

Check out this English-language trip guide to the bus.
